Volunteering with Interplay Theatre.

If you want to improve your experience in your community and gain valuable skills, volunteering may be for you.

Current Volunteer Roles:

Front of House

Our Front of House volunteers are invaluable to us and cover a range of duties, from taking tickets, selling ice creams and programmes to helping people to their seats. Full training is given. There is no upper age limit on becoming a Front of House volunteer however you should be at least 16 years of age. Anyone volunteering will need to consider the late finishing time and getting home safely after the show.

Youth Theatre & Community Activity Support

Support the Youth Theatre Leaders during sessions either in our building or out in the community. Full Training will be given as well as an Enhanced DBS and support to apply for a Chaperone licence, if you wish to enhance your skills. Anyone volunteering will need to consider the late finishing time and getting home safely.

All our Volunteers should:

  • Be friendly and welcoming
  • Be committed to delivering excellent customer experience
  • Have honesty and integrity
  • Usually be able to volunteer at least once a month – shifts are usually about 4 hours long and in the evening.
